We collect the following types of information directly from clients or from our partnering law firms (with proper authorization):
- Full legal name, date of birth, mailing address
- Social Security Number or Tax Identification Number
- Bankruptcy filing details (chapter filed, case number, court district)
- Payment agreement terms and payment history made through the firm
- Contact information (email, phone)
- Consent documentation for credit reporting
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Facilitate credit reporting to assist in rebuilding your credit profile
- Track and verify ongoing payments under your bankruptcy plan or post-bankruptcy arrangements
- Maintain internal account records and customer support logs
- Communicate with you regarding reporting status and updates

4. Credit Reporting Disclosure
With your informed and written consent, BK Aftermath may report your qualifying payment activity to one or more of the major credit bureaus: Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion.
- Payments reported may include on-time, late, or missed payments based on your agreement with the participating law firm.
- Reporting is conducted using the industry-standard Metro 2 format and in compliance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and the Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act (FACTA).
- BK Aftermath only reports payments related to authorized agreements and does not report any additional financial activity not managed or tracked through our system.
You may revoke your consent to participate in our credit reporting service at any time by submitting a written request. Data already submitted to the bureaus cannot be retroactively removed unless proven inaccurate.
5. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell, rent, or lease your information to any third parties. Your data may only be shared under the following conditions:
- With major credit bureaus for the purpose of credit reporting (with your written consent)
- With your authorized bankruptcy law firm, for account verification and support
